Emma is a third-year Bachelor of Music student at the Australian National University, majoring in classical flute performance. She has been playing flute for 13 years and, in this time, has received her Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) (2015) and has performed in a vast range of solo and group settings.

In 2018, Emma received the Whitworth-Roach Scholarship from the ANU School of Music for excellence in performance and has since participated in many masterclasses with professional international and Australian flautists such as Prof. Dr Eckart Altenmüller, Janet Webb, and Georges Barthel. She has recently been appointed as Principal Flute in the Canberra Youth Orchestra, has performed alongside Canberra Symphony Orchestra members in the ANU Side-By-Side concert series, and has performed for the Austrian Ambassador, and the Governor General at Government House.

Outside of performance, Emma is a certified BodyMinded Practitioner with knowledge about conscious coordination to reduce overuse injury and general discomfort when playing musical instruments. She has also gained practical insight into the music industry in her role as a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Young Ambassador in 2018.

Emma is a very enthusiastic teacher and aims to foster a strong foundation in technique to provide students with the versatility to explore their varying musical interests, and to foster a love for music and creativity.
