Jackie has a passion for music education and the benefits of singing in both a community and individual aspect. She aims to foster a passion for music and the joy it can bring. She has trained in classical, musical theatre, jazz and contemporary styles. She has experience singing in a variety of choirs and small vocal ensembles.
Jackie has been singing and performing her entire life. Her early experiences included violin lessons with her grandmother, Gillian Graham and junior choirs. In primary school, she performed in music for everyone orchestras including Peg Mantel Strings and her school orchestras.
Jackie began vocal lessons under the watchful eye of Theresa Rayner in 2012. While learning from Theresa, she focused on classical and music theatre. Jacking has won and placed in many national and Sydney Eisteddfods, including winning the best Australian song prize in the 2016 Sydney Eisteddfod. In years 11 and 12 Jackie studied classical voice in the ANU music extension program. She can be seen in many community musical theatre productions throughout Canberra. Jackie is currently in her second year of completing a Bachelor of Jazz and contemporary voice at ANU.
