About Kaykay

Kaykay is a third-year student studying both Piano Performance and Composition at the ANU School of Music. He is a current recipient of the Dennis Griffin Piano Undergraduate Scholarship. 


Kaykay has won awards at numerous regional and national level piano competitions, and has performed in many public concerts. He was a finalist in Australian Artology’s Fanfare Competition in 2021, and his original orchestral work, Fanfare Just for You, will be performed by Queensland Youth Orchestra in Brisbane. Recently, he gave a piano recital at Embassy of Hungary, Canberra in 2021, and performed at Canberra Theatre Centre in 2020. He was also invited to be a guest performer in Miss Australia Chinese Pageant Show both in 2020 and 2021. Kaykay was a finalist in the 2015 "Music Ambassador" National Piano Competition, and he won the First Prize in the 2014 Chopin International Youth Piano Competition. 


Kaykay was highly involved with various kinds of music events in university. He was recently selected as the Music Director and Conductor in Fenner Hall musical, Mamma Mia!, in 2021. Later in the year, he was selected as a participant in Jessica Cottis (Artistic Director of CSO) Conducting Masterclass, and he was the conductor in ANU School of Music Composition Showcase Concert.
