Clarinet & Saxophone

About Tom

Tom was first inspired to play the saxophone after hearing the ‘Hawaii-5-O’ theme song playing on television, and made it his goal to be able to play the catchy melody. Since he began on the alto saxophone in secondary school, Tom has completed Grade 8 AMEB and is currently in his final year of a Bachelor of Music Studies at the Australian National University.

Tom enjoys any kind of music that is energetic and honest, from 20th century Western art music to reggae jazz fusion, and is focused on developing performer confidence and technical facility. He is excited to help beginner and more advanced musicians foster a love of music, working on individual and group skills, as well as personal practise ethic.
