About Michael

 

With  firm emphasis on encouraging the inner musician within, Michael brings 20 years of experience playing the guitar to ACTAM. He has been teaching guitar for the last 6 years and can play and teach a wide range of styles and genres from classical, jazz, rock, and blues.

 

Michael is a graduate from the Australian National University with a bachelor’s degree in Music, majoring in music performance in jazz guitar. He has also had experience playing in bands and solo guitar, he also has pit orchestra experience.

 

Michael’s teaching philosophy has an emphasis on music theory, harmony and learning music holistically and learning to read music to become not just a guitar player but a musician.
