Individual Lessons
The teachers at ACTAM are all excellent in their own areas of expertise and it would be our pleasure to put our extensive experience to work for you. Simply use the quick links above or scroll down and select the photos of each teacher to read more of their biography and teaching style.
Fees range from $41 to $66 per half hour depending on the teacher, this difference reflects the qualifications and experience of each teacher.
You can choose to have casual lessons, or you can enrol for the semester and receive a substantial discount (about $8 per lesson). One off trials are also available by request.

Ariel was introduced to the cello in her teenage years, and instantly fell in love with this instrument and classical music.
Karwye - Cello
KP learned to play the piano and the violin at an early age, but it wasn't until playing the cello for the first time in adulthood that she that she discovered her love for music.
Piano
Lucy P - Piano
Lucy has been teaching music for over 20 years, specialising in piano, theory and musicianship tuition. She has completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours and a Doctor of Philosophy.
Samuel - Piano
Sam studied classical piano with Oleg Stepanov at Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, Brisbane, graduating with B.Music in 2016.
Penny - Piano
Penny began learning piano at age 5 and added clarinet three years later.
Anthony - Accompaniment, Music Craft, Theory
Anthony is a Canberra-based pianist, musicologist, composer, and arranger. As a pianist, he has performed in Australia, England, Germany, New Caledonia, New Zealand, the USA, and Sweden.
Joel - Piano
Joel is a passionate teacher and wishes to spread his love of music to all his students, through practical and creative lessons to nurture his student's appreciation of music.
Chen - Piano
Chenxiao Chen graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Classical Piano Performance at the Australian National University. He also recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Auckland, specialising in Music Education and Science Education.

Michael - Guitar
With firm emphasis on encouraging the inner musician within, Michael brings 20 years of experience playing the guitar to ACTAM.
