About Oscar

Oscar is a young Canberra violinist who has studied at ACTAM for several years and is now starting his teaching under the mentorship of Director Charlotte Winslade.

Oscar began learning the violin at the age of 7 and took up piano a year later. He excelled with both instruments and has progressed through the AMEB exam levels. He has now completed his Certificate of Performance in both instruments as well as Grade 5 in Music Theory.

An experienced performer, Oscar has participated in interstate competitions, Australian National Music Camp and given a solo recital at an aged care home.

Oscar has found learning an instrument brings great joy and is a skill which can last a lifetime. His goal as a teacher is to balance bringing fun in the lessons with developing correct technique for the long term.
