About Samuel

Samuel was born in North Queensland and was fortunate to grow up with a family interested in music.

He stayed for most of his school life in the town of Ayr, where he participated in a number of local musical theatre productions, and completed his AMEB AmusA (Piano), Grade 8 (Saxophone), and Grade 5 (Theory).


In 2013, he moved to Brisbane and began studying at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in 2013, graduating in 2016. His major was in classical piano performance, which he studied under Oleg Stepanov. He also enjoyed working with other instrumentalists and singers, accompanying and playing in chamber music groups.At college he was became a member of the Choral Scholars, the St John's college's choir which sang for the chapel's Sunday services and Evensong. After completing his studies, he moved into Queanbeyan to pursue a career in music. He believes that quality music teaching is important to maintaining a healthy musical culture.

Individual piano lessons with Sam are available in Bungendore, in Lyneham and at ACTAM Studios in Fyshwick.
