About Marie

Since completing performance degrees in Australia and the Netherlands, Marie has enjoyed an active performance and teaching career. As a performer Marie's passion lies in chamber music and accompaniment. From her first experience as a collaborative pianist, she was captivated by the blending of sounds between instruments, the dialogue, and the possibility for partnership whilst still maintaining individuality. Marie works regularly with singers and instrumentalists of all levels and ages, from professionals to beginners, approaching each performance with an equal level of professionalism and commitment.

As a teacher, Marie aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and variety of experience to be confident in expressing their musical ideas. She encourages an exploration of a wide range of musical styles in solo and ensemble repertoire. Marie believes that the ability of the teacher to adapt to each student is essential to achieving best results.
