Cash prizes will be awarded for a number of sections as sponsorship allows. These will be published in the program which will be released on Monday 13th May. Certificates and medals for all sections where cash prizes are not available.

Adjudicator 2025: Andrew Chubb
BMus (Hons), AMusA, LMusA, LTCL
Since 2003, Andrew Chubb has given pioneering Philip Glass recital concerts in Australia and Canada. His interest in promoting contemporary repertoire has also included Australian premiere performances, including Hans Otte’s epic The Book of Sounds in 2007.
Mr Chubb is a recognised composer whose work has been broadcast through ABC Classic FM. His music has been commissioned and performed by esteemed musicians, both nationally and internationally.
A former lecturer at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, Mr Chubb now teaches piano at The King’s School and at Cranbrook School. He also maintains a private studio in Newcastle. He has given piano masterclasses for the Music Teachers’ Association of New South Wales and for the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. In addition, Mr Chubb has been an adjudicator at various eisteddfods.

CONCERTO and CHAMBER MUSIC SECTIONS
SECTION C01 – Concerto – Open age
Entry Fee: $40 Time Limit: 15 mins
Required Repertoire: One or more movements of a baroque, classical or romantic concerto. Must be accompanied by a piano reduction of the orchestral score. Pianists are welcome to enter, a 2nd piano is available on stage to accompany.
Prizes: 1st $300, 2nd $150, 3rd $50
SECTION C02 – Chamber Music – Open age
Entry Fee: $30 Time Limit: 10 mins
Open to duos, trios, quartets, quintets and sextets - any ensemble of 2 to 6 players including piano and instrumental combinations. All members of the ensemble are to be considered entrants so a professional accompanist will not be allowed. Piano duets are permitted.
